New Mexico Wedding Photography - Jordan and Bonnie

I first met Bonnie and Jordan at a wedding in April in Albuquerque, NM. They were wanting to plan a beautiful mountain wedding in Colorado during the summer. However, Jordan is active Air Force, so the couple was concerned about deployment. After speaking with Bonnie, she told me that they had opted to have a Christmas Eve wedding in Ruidoso, NM at Ski Apache Resort. She and Jordan had many treasured memories in the mountains and frequented this resort. They couldn't have selected a more perfect location for their gorgeous winter wonderland wedding. Yes, I did have to ride a gondola to get to the top of the mountain for the ceremony location. And, yes, I did have a small panic attack. Thank God my husband was there with me. Thanks Bonnie and Jordan for allowing me to share in your beautiful day and for making me face my fears.

Wish Upon a Wedding Auction

As mentioned before, the Wish Upon a Wedding Auction did approve my auction item. I received a newsletter from them this morning that summarized all of the wonderful things that happened this first year of their existence. They granted 13 wishes through the support of tons of vendors and local chapters that pulled together to give these couples the wedding that they desserve. Here is a link that details the stories of these sweet couples: http://wishuponawedding.org/request-a-wedding/past-wishes/. Bring a box of kleenex because these stories are tear jerkers.

Denver Family Photography - Jodin, Davina and Veo

I first met Davina a couple of years ago when I worked in banking. She and I immediately became friends. I took these family photos knowing that she would be leaving Colorado shortly. Her husband, Jodin, enlisted with the Coast Guard to work in search and rescue. They are an amazing family!

Denver Family Photography - Mariana, Greg and Maestro

Maestro was quite the star of this family photo session. There is nothing like cuddling up to a furry friend or being greeted at the door by one. Mariana and Greg share my love and adoration for dogs. They were such a great couple to work with.

Lower Lake Ranch - Kat and Zach's Engagement Session

Zach first contacted me by phone to gather information regarding wedding photography. I had the pleasure of meeting he and Kat at Starbucks to hear about their beautiful wedding details. They booked their wedding while we chatted over coffee and tea. I had to photograph their engagement session as soon as possible because Zach was leaving for National Guard training. A special thank you to Zach and all of the other brave men and women who sacrifice their time and lives to defend our nation.

Northeastern Denver Photography - Andy and Kayla E-Sess

On November 6, 2010 I posted a blog about the loss of my husband's best friend. About six weeks before the accident, I had the awesome honor of photographing his daughter's engagement session. This was a very difficult engagement session for me primarily because I have known Kayla for five years. I remember her as a little girl, so I found myself struggling to get the two of them to hold each other. The best I could come up with was to have them kiss. How embarrassing was that! Kayla and her fiancee Andy reside in Canada and have joined forces to create Knot in the Tree Photography: http://knotinthetree.com/KitT/Home.html. At any rate, here are a few photos from their engagement session.

Downtown Denver Trash the Dress Photography

One of the best things that happens to me as a wedding photographer, is when I have the privilege of becoming friends with the couple that I photograph. This just so happened to be the case with Janene and Todd. I needed some models for a mentoring session (I was the one being mentored). Of course, they were more than willing to come to my aide. Typically, a Trash the Dress Session occurs the day after the wedding, but in our case it was about two weeks later.

Janene and Todd - Evergreen, CO Wedding

In my previous post, I blogged about Janene and Todd. I just love, love, love them. They are an absolutely awesome couple. Janene is incredibly talented, and did many of the details for her wedding decor with the help of her talented friend. Janene made her own birdcage veil to reflect the vintage theme of their wedding. Here are a few of the images from their wedding day.

Idaho Springs Photographer - Janene and Todd's E-Session

I met Janene and Todd through a referral from another wedding photographer that was booked for their wedding date. Janene and I connected immediately on the phone. We scheduled a time to follow up and meet in person to discuss all of her amazing wedding details. Here are a few of the photos from their engagement session.

Wedding Auction

In July, I posted a blog about the Wish Upon A Wedding Auction. All of the proceeds from the auction would be donated to help terminally ill engaged couples have their dream wedding. I am so honored and grateful that my proposal for the auction was accepted. The auction will be contacting me shortly to notify me of the winning bid. I can hardly wait to find out who won the auction!

Lower Lake Ranch Wedding - Katy and Evan

Katy and Evan were married at Lower Lake Ranch in Conifer, CO on August 28, 2010. I love photographing weddings at Lower Lake Ranch, and their's was no exception. Their wedding was absolutely gorgeous and truly reflected their love for the outdoors. Evan and Katy love to fish, so the lake location was perfect for their wedding day.
